Information CommandVault handles
CommandVault lets you save command text, titles, notes, categories, tags, usage counts, and preferences. This information is stored locally in your Chrome browser profile using the Chrome Storage API.
CommandVault does not transmit this information to Hoowey Studio or to any third-party server. We do not collect account information, browsing history, website content, analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, or payment information.
How browser permissions are used
- Storage stores your commands, categories, tags, settings, and usage information locally on your device.
- Clipboard write copies a command only after you click a Copy button or submit the command-variable form.
Backups and user control
Exporting or importing a JSON backup happens only when you choose those actions. Exported files are saved to a location you select and remain under your control. You can delete individual commands, reset all extension data, or remove the extension at any time.
Retention and security
Your data remains in your local Chrome profile until you delete it, reset the vault, clear the browser profile, or uninstall the extension. CommandVault uses Chrome's extension storage and does not operate a remote database containing your commands.
Children’s privacy
CommandVault is a developer productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the extension's functionality or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always be published on this page.
